Major (Marines) Dicky Wijanarko was born in July 1973 in the hilly area of Wilis Mountain in Madiun, East Java. He joined the military – naval academy and graduated from Indonesia’s Marines Corp in 1995. During years after graduation, Major Dicky Wijanarko concluded various training and tactical qualification course, to include merits in shooting in 1992, marines commando in 1993, para in 1995. In 1996, he concluded Infantry Armour Support training, and successfully qualified as trainer in Ground Landing Ops in 1997. Further to his military advancement, had completed Diklapa I (First Advanced Officer’s Academy) in 2000 and the next level was concluded in 2003. With regards to ground ops assignments, Major Dicky Wijanarko has possessed various tour of duty. This to include securing vital installation ops in Lampung in 1997, Stabilizing & Securing Ops of the capital of Jakarta during the uprising in 1998, and Tasking unit under GOM VIII, the recovery of stability in Aceh province in 2000.

Several post were held, initially as the commander of Senapan 1 platoon under company F in 1996, Commanding officer of Platoon Senjata Bantuan Kompi in 1997, Deputy Commanding Officer of Marines Company in 1999, Commanding Officer of Florida Company in 2000, Commanding Officer of Satuan Markas Denma Mako Kormar in 2002. Further to the aforementioned, in 2005, he then succeeded to assume a new post as Chief Section of Dikspes Disminpers Kormar . Prior his overseas assignment, in 2006 is taking office as Spri KASAL. Dicky will be sharing his days during assignment from Liberia, West Africa.
