Monrovia, Liberia, 18 March 2009. The United Nations launched its United Nations in Liberia ‘At Work Together’ website, during a media briefing held at the Pan African Plaza building today. The website was launched by Mr. Jordan Ryan, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Recovery and Governance, Resident Coordinator, Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Liberia.

The website (www.unliberia.org) is expected to serve as the first reference point for anyone seeking information about the UN in Liberia. It has a wealth of information on the UN and its work in Liberia, the various UN entities that are presently working in Liberia, UN documents, the Peacebuilding Fund, news, and other resources.
The UN in Liberia ‘At Work Together’ website also provides details on mechanisms set up to facilitate the cohesive collaboration of diverse entities in support of the national priorities of Liberia. This includes information on various coordination mechanisms such as Joint Offices and Joint Programmes on Food Security and Nutrition, Sexual and Gender Based Violence, Youth Employment and Empowerment, Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment and the County Support Teams.
We seek your assistance in making this a dynamic website by sending us public reports, studies, media releases etc, so it will serve the purpose of being the one-stop-shop for those seeking information on the UN in Liberia.
