Welcome to Our Peacekeeping Journey, a website dedicated to the peacekeepers, the ones whose currently serving at United Nations’ Peacekeeping Missions, those who concluded the mission assignments, and those others whose line of work are in support of establishing peace wherever they are. This is our stories about our life.
As each of us here, writes and contributed articles on our everyday and how life while on assignments really look like, all this are based on our own-personal-views, and DO NOT reflect the official views of the organization (UN Missions’) we are working under. The articles shared in this site is made solely to share updates with folks back in home country in an informal manner and should never be taken as official statement nor official views/capacity.
Though, most of correspondences are coming from Indonesia or Indonesians, we also have correspondents from other part of the world, sharing the same common goals, ensuring peace process lasting forever.
Presently, our team consists of mainly individuals currently serving in some of United Nations’ Peacekeeping Missions, a combination of both civilian staffers and some plays its role as military observers (Milobs). We are glad to be supported by groups of quality caliber of professional individuals in their fields to add a balanced variety of contents.

Kontingen Garuda XX-G Bagikan Bingkisan Kepada Masyarakat Pedalaman Kongo
Tepatnya di desa Cimquante-Cinq arah antara Dungu Faradje dimana lokasi Kontingen Garuda XX-G bekerja dalam membangun jalan Dungu Faradje, Komandan Kontingen Letkol Czi Arnold A.P Ritiauw dan personel Zeni TNI pada hari Kamis (19/8) membagikan baju baru kepada masyarakat Kongo yang berada dipedalaman, khususnya kepada anak-anak yang jumlahnya lebih dari 100 orang. Sumbangan berupa baju ini diberikan dalam rangka memperingati HUT Republik Indonesia ke-65, juga sebagai bagian dari Sargal (Sarana Penggalangan) terhadap masyarakat Kongo.

Pesiar Eksklusif di Sungai Congo
Sabtu sore dilanjutkan dengan mengunjungi teman – teman TNI yang baru pindah rumah, sampe berpesiar ke Sungai Congo di Minggu pagi. Nah, yang terakhir ini yang paling seru. Akhirnya, setelah Sari mengerahkan segala daya upaya untuk membujuk dua marinir Indonesia, Pak Amrin dan Bang Lusy (maaf ada tambahan: yang selalu ngaku – ngaku ganteng) dua marinir ini pun setuju untuk membawa kami berpesiar.

Upacara HUT RI ke-65 ditengah padatnya tugas FPU Indonesia di Darfur
Upacara internal yang kami gelar di lapangan Kamp Garuda ini sangatlah berkesan dihati sanubari kami insan Polri yang sedang menjalankan tugas misi Negara dan jauh dari kampung halaman sendiri. Dengan dikibarkannya bendera merah putih diiringi lagu kebangsaan Indonesia Raya kemudian pembacaan teks Proklamasi dan teks Pembukaan UUD 1945 semakin menguatkan mental dan kebanggaan kami yang tengah mengemban tugas Negara ini.
