About Us


Welcome to Our Peacekeeping Journey, a website dedicated to the peacekeepers, the ones whose currently serving at United Nations’ Peacekeeping Missions, those who concluded the mission assignments, and those others whose line of work are in support of establishing peace wherever they are. This is our stories about our life.

As each of us here, writes and contributed articles on our everyday and how life while on assignments really look like, all this are based on our own-personal-views, and DO NOT reflect the official views of the organization (UN Missions’) we are working under. The articles shared in this site is made solely to share updates with folks back in home country in an informal manner and should never be taken as official statement nor official views/capacity.

Though, most of correspondences are coming from Indonesia or Indonesians, we also have correspondents from other part of the world, sharing the same common goals, ensuring peace process lasting forever.

Presently, our team consists of mainly individuals currently serving in some of United Nations’ Peacekeeping Missions, a combination of both civilian staffers and some plays its role as military observers (Milobs). We are glad to be supported by groups of quality caliber of professional individuals in their fields to add a balanced variety of contents.

Partisipasi IndoEngCoy pada Pembuatan Pagar di St.March - Haiti
(Gonaives-Haiti, Sabtu 16/5/12). Prajurit TNI dengan total personel 167 orang , yang tergabung dalam Satgas Kizi TNI Kontingen Garuda XXXII-A/MINUSTAH (Mission des Nations Unies pour la Stabilisation en Haïti) dengan 1 tahun Misi, melaksanakan pekerjaan pembuatan pagar di daerah Saint March. Pasukan Garuda , Indoengcoy MINUSTAH melaksanakan pekerjaan pembuatan pagar di daerah Saint March, Artibonite, Haiti. Wilayah ini masih merupakan daerah tugas untuk kontingen zeni Indonesia (Indo Eng Coy) di wilayah utara Haiti.

Pertemuan Budaya dalam 1 citarasa
Keriuhan sangat terasa malam itu. Belum lagi dengan cuaca dingin yang menyentuh kulit sehingga memaksa kami untuk mengunyah makanan guna meredam kedinginan yang melanda. Mie goreng dan Nasi goreng adalah makanan yang tidak terlalu spesial bagi kami. Namun lain hal bagi para peacekeeper mancanegara yang ada pada saat itu seperti Italia, Perancis, Spanyol, Irlandia dan Guatemala. Mereka sangat menyukai Mie goreng dan Nasi goreng yang merupakan satu dari ratusan warisan budaya kuliner yang ada di Indonesia. Tak kalah hebatnya, Italia pun menghidangkan apa yang mereka sebut dengan PASTA. Namun, sepertinya pasta italia harus merelakan kemenangan mie goreng indonesia kali ini, karena hampir seluruh undangan memilih mie goreng indonesia untuk disantap. Salut untuk Indonesia.

“Seluruh alat-alat berat yang berada di lapangan mendapat pengamanan dari tentara (FARDC) Forces Army Republik Democratik of Congo, sedangkan dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan pembangunan jalan mendapat pengawalan dari batalyon Infanteri dari negara Maroko, sehingga Kompi Zeni TNI terfokus pada tugas perbaikan jalan tanpa harus dibebankan lagi untuk tugas pengamanan”, katanya.
